Fruit Smoothies

Great meal replacement or snack option for all ages.  I encourage everyone to great creative with flavors as long as a smoothie "base"' stays simple.  My preference is to use vanilla greek yogurt, coconut water and/or almond milk in all of my fruit smoothies.

  • 1 c crushed ice
  • 1 c fresh or frozen fruit (banana, peach, berries, pomegranate, mango....whatever is in season!!!)
  • 1 c vanilla flavored greek yogurt
  • 1/2 c fruit (peach, guava) flavored nectar (can be found in most supermarkets in ethnic food aisle)
  • 1/2 c coconut water
  • Other possible ingredients:  oatmeal, flax seed, peanut butter

Put all ingredients in a blender and liquefy to desired consistency.  If too watery add more fruit.  If too thick add more coconut water or nectar.  Enjoy!!!  For another creative smoothie recipe, try out this PB&J version.

Smoothies are my real favorite and I love to have them. I do not care about the time or place. As long as there are smoothies I would enjoy them for sure.
